this is gonna sound kinda dumb, but i kinda view it like a tarot card, like how it has a right side up and upside down meaning. a dog, on the positive side, could mean someone who’s loyal, honest, and energetic, but on the negative side could be seen as someone too loyal(like a stalker or someone who would stay with an abusive lover), someone filthy and stupid, or someone aggressively protective or something or someone
