Hypnobeast Podcast #2 “Companion Creature”

Episode 2 of the Hypnotic Beast Podcast. This one is focused on going on a guided journey to find your “companion creature,” which could be a Digimon, Pokemon, Neopet or any creature you like. This podcast was inspired by the “spirit pokemon” meme, although I left it broad enough to cover any companion creature.

Still ironing out all the kinks with the format and recording. This episode features 20 min of talk followed by 30 minutes of guided relaxation and hypnosis. I think future podcasts will feature less talk, more relaxation. Any tips on how to make the show better are welcomed in the comments, as long as you keep it positive and sandwich it between two compliments. People do find the sandwich critique the most effective.

        I found time to listen to it just now. It’s good that you’re so light and funny in the monologue. As part of the audience, it allowed me to laugh and connect and make the imagery more positive.
        I think your approach toward letting the listener decide what spirit creature they have was well paced. It was slow, but honestly, for one who doesn’t have a spirit creature, it’s just right.
        I struggled between two animals that I admired as a kid: a falcon and a lizard, before realizing this was a POKEMON for goodness sake and sorta meshed the two together. It’s message is fuzzy but it communicated something about being weird, yet graceful. And bold. I teared up a bit!

    I envisioned some kind of small fox-dragon creature. Not sure if there’s such a pokemon, but i’m really excited that i found my spirit companion, it felt really warm. I really enjoy your podcasts and look forward to listening to your next one.

    I missed the pokemon/digimon craze by a couple years but I still found the companion animal imagery to be very accessible, enjoying the podcasts so far, this is the third I’ve listened to, looking forward to species specific mp3 recordings you mentioned working on for sale, I’d very much like to hear a lion specific one.

    While the turtle mindbends minds… man, this thing was completely awesome, i’m going to keep in touch with this site. if i can pay for a private session, i’ll undoubtedly do it. you are funny, you are unique, serious when you need to be serious… yes. i found out Zuurem, one of my characters is actually my companion…pokemon ._. he’s a zoroark… and man, he’s tall and strong… anyhow, i’ll be here, thank any diety about me clicking the ad in furaffinity!

    I’m not sure if I am doing something wrong, or perhaps I just don’t have a spirit pokemon, digital companion, or what. I have listened to this twice now, letting myself relax, and nothing came to mind. I don’t even remember hearing parts of it. Had to listen to it out of trance to even hear the imaging guide all the way through. I will say though, your voice is quite relaxing. I’ll just give this a few more listens and see what eventually happens.

      It may take a few tries if you’re not used to hypnosis.

    Wow, that was epic! It was an interesting experience, the animals i saw and the cave, it was so surreal. And apparently my companion creature was an agumon who told me to relax and just be myself. we were going to escape the cave to go somewhere but then we had to bid farewell. Can’t wait until next paycheck, definantly getting some personalised sessions :)

    im not sure if i see myself as this creature or if its my companion creature, im having trouble.   I see myself as a Ronso/leo

    *frowns a bit* I didn’t really see anything. I don’t know if I wasn’t focused enough or if I did anything wrong but, I heard myself answering the questions. Was that supposed to happen? I dunno but it was very interesting. I did get warm the first time, then I got distracted and I tried again, nothing.
